Hello guys! Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite crafts to make. Harry Potter Wands! I love Harry Potter, and I have always wanted to get one of the real wands from the Warner Bros. website, but I was never able to afford them. So, I decided to make my own, and now you can too. Let's get started.Materials- Hot glue gun - Hot glue sticks -Kabob sticks -Paint/Spray paint (will be the color of your wands) STEP: #1First, squeeze the glue from your glue gun on to your kabob stick on the bottom of your stick, and up another 3 inches to make a handle. What I found helpful was gluing one layer at a time and in the end I make about 3 layers of glue. I found that the streaking pattern I used made my handle look like it was part of an oak tree. STEP: #2Continue to add elements that you want on you wand with the glue. I decided to add 3 bead looking balls on to my wand above the handle similar to the elder wand, and I added small rings all the way to about 2.5 inches blow the tip. Don't be afraid to experiment with materials. For example, you can add beads to make texture on the wand. Add what ever you want to depict your personality. STEP: #3Once you have created a nice "wand base" with the hot glue, you can now add color. But, before we add detailed painting, we want a paint base. To make a classic Harry Potter wand, you might want to use whites, grey, blacks, and browns. If your feeling you want more color, go for it! I actually changed my base from tan to brown in the end. STEP: #4This is my favorite part of the process. Painting details. In this step, you can use different color paints to make accents to your wands. Cool ideas would be gold or rose gold. I wanted to add gold accents to my handle, but I didn't have paint, so I decided to just use nail polish. You can color any part of the wand that you want, and make any final touches that you might need. And your done! In only four steps, we have made a unique and affordable room decor piece, birthday gift, party favors, or something that you will just be proud of it every time you see it. If you enjoyed this post or made this DIY, make sure to leave a comment or, if you love Harry Potter as much as I do, let me know what house you are in. I'm a Ravenclaw. So, until next time, see you. -XOXO Sunny
